Ideally based out of Pittsburgh, PA, with less than 15%+ travel if remote. •Implement Fleet Management Features •Design and evolve distributed fleet orchestration services for task allocation and robot state management •Improve high-availability systems for dispatch, path planning integration, traffic management integration, and consequences of robot success and error states •Implement resilient messaging patterns (pub/sub, event streaming, eventual consistency) •Dive into large code bases to surgically improve or extract functionality •Integrate with robot APIs (REST, gRPC, MQTT, VDA5050, proprietary APIs) •Build Real-Time & Data-Centric Qualifications: •Highly autonomous technical driver. Senior-level intuition is required to confidently execute with minimal oversight. When you see a problem you bias towards action rather than discussion •Proven experience mentoring junior engineers •Proven broad experience designing, implementing, deploying, and debugging distributed systems at scale •Excellent software engineering skills in a JVM based language.
