Required Skills: •Architect scalable, low-latency systems/data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and serving personalized signals. •Design, build, and maintain robust pipelines for telemetry, product usage, and experimentation data. •Own orchestration, monitoring, and DevOps for critical data workflows. •Design data models and APIs that enable Copilot to reason about user context, preferences, and history •Build real-time and batch personalization engines that adapt Copilot’s behavior. •Partner cross-functionally with privacy, security, and responsible AI teams to ensure personalization is safe, transparent, and user-controlled •Optimize for performance, reliability, and cost across diverse workloads and geographies. •Ship high-quality, well-tested, secure, and maintainable code. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience building systems with coding in languages including, but not limited to, Python, C#, Java •Demonstrated capacity to identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and user experience. •Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers. •Passion for learning new technologies and staying up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in web, data systems and AI. •Demonstrated capacity to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing requirements and deadlines. •Proven ability to collaborate and contribute to a positive, inclusive work environment, fostering knowledge sharing and growth within the team. •Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year. •This position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.
