Required Skills: •Leads the work of small groups of four to six engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned engineering projects by providing pertinent documents, direction, and examples; identifying short- and long-term solutions and timelines; reviewing and providing feedback for proposed solutions; and performing design and code reviews of changes. •Provides support to the business by responding to users' questions, concerns, and issues (e.g., technical feasibility, implementation strategies); identifying short- and long-term solutions; facilitating resolutions; and leading cross-functional partnerships. •Leads the discovery phase of medium- to large-scale projects to develop high-level designs by partnering with product management, project management, business, and user experience teams, and obtaining cross-functional approvals. •Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. •Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports the company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others in applying these when executing business processes and practices. Qualifications: •Strong core Java and J2EE knowledge. •In-depth understanding of Java Spring, Spring Boot applications. •Hands-on knowledge of building large-scale microservices for highly scalable and robust platforms. •In-depth understanding of NoSQL database implementations, like Cosmos, MongoDB, etc. •Strong knowledge of messaging systems like Kafka. •Hands-on knowledge and experience with cloud systems like Azure, GCP. •Clear understanding of design principles for building large-scale, robust platforms. •Demonstrated capacity to understand a business requirement, convert it to a working low-level design, and implement with proper testing. •Demonstrated capacity to debug current code and integrate new functionalities to it by making sure new and existing use cases are working as expected. •Demonstrated capacity to come up with enough use cases for a customer functionality.
