Hiring: Senior SCADA and Controls Engineer Company: talisman Location: Houston, TX Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 12:29:09 Employment Type: Contract / Remote Target Skills & Keywords : Change Management, Microsoft Office, Project Management, SAP, SCADA About the job Experience: •10+ years of progressively responsible project management experience in energy, infrastructure, construction, or related industry Required Skills: •The position is based in the greater Houston, TX area with a hybrid work model (3 days office / 2 days remote). •Provide visible safety leadership across the project lifecycle •Lead assigned utility-scale wind, solar, and battery storage projects from late-stage development through construction, commissioning, COD, and turnover to Asset Management •Drive cross-functional project execution across safety, quality, schedule, cost, risk, commercial commitments, and stakeholder alignment •Manage EPC contractor performance against contractual obligations, milestones, deliverables, notices, and recovery plans •Own project schedule management — baseline development, critical path analysis, progress measurement, forecasting, recovery planning •Coordinate with Finance and internal stakeholders on budgets, reforecasts, cost trends, and contingency tracking •Prepare executive-level reporting on project status, risks, decisions, and COD/budget confidence Qualifications: •Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer (no sponsorship offered) •Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related technical discipline •Proven track record managing full-lifecycle EPC projects in utility-scale renewable energy through COD •Strong knowledge of scope definition, contractor evaluation, project economics, EPC contracts, constructability reviews, and executive reporting •Demonstrated experience managing utility-scale wind, solar, and/or battery storage projects through handover •Strong commercial acumen connecting technical, construction, permitting, and interconnection issues to cost/schedule/risk •Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across Development, Engineering, Procurement, Legal, Finance, HSE, Asset Management, utilities, contractors, and investors •Proficiency with MS Office and familiarity with project management/controls platforms •Degree in Electrical, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Construction Engineering •Understanding of utility interconnection requirements (FERC, ISO/RTO tariffs, interconnection agreements) Compensation: •Flexible work environment (work from home / hybrid options) Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
