Hiring: Senior Reserving Actuary Company: Munich Re Location: Princeton, NJ Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 11:51:25 Target Skills & Keywords : Project Management, Stakeholder Management About the job Required Skills: •Future focused and always one step ahead! •We’re adding to our diverse team of experts and are looking to hire a Senior Actuary to enrich our Global Specialty Insurance United States (GSI US) Business Unit Reserving team within Corporate Reserving. •Own and lead the reserving process for an assigned insurance portfolio, from data readiness and actuarial analysis through closing, reporting, governance, documentation, and communication of results. •Act as a trusted interface between Corporate Reserving and business partners across actuarial, underwriting, claims, finance, accounting, and reporting teams, locally and globally. •Develop deep portfolio knowledge across exposure, pricing, underwriting, claims, market, aggregation, and emerging-risk dynamics, and translate insights into sound reserving judgments and business decisions. •Continuously improve reserving processes, controls, data flows, methods, and tools for an evolving portfolio. •Lead cross-functional projects and team collaboration, coordinating contributors and deliverables across groups without relying on direct reporting relationships. •Prepare and present actuarial results, key judgments, trends, risks, and recommendations clearly to actuarial and non-actuarial audiences, including senior management. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in economics, mathematics, actuarial science, or a related quantitative field; master’s degree or MBA preferred. •Credentialed actuary, preferably ACAS, FCAS, or comparable. •At least five years of actuarial experience in cyber (re)insurance, with strong knowledge of loss drivers, portfolio dynamics, and reserving challenges. •Proven ability to own end-to-end actuarial processes and deliver high-quality results within reporting timelines. •Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence, build trust, and explain technical concepts and business implications clearly. •Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities, optimize processes, and coordinate contributors across teams. •Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, with sound judgment and clear documentation of assumptions and conclusions. •The Company is open to considering candidates in Princeton, NJ. The salary range posted below applies to the Company’s Princeton location. •The base salary range anticipated for this position is •Plus opportunity for company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay.
