Hiring: Senior Project Manager, Capital Program Company: New York City Economic Development Corporation Location: New York, NY Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 13:00:02 Target Skills & Keywords : Project Management About the job Experience: •3+ years of relevant professional experience in architecture, construction, real estate development, owner’s representation, or a related field Required Skills: •A Senior Project Manager (SPM) in the Capital Program Department (CAP) will be responsible for the implementation of a design and construction portfolio of 6-10 active capital projects with a total project value of approximately $100 million+. •Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned contracts and projects throughout all phases of development. •Lead the procurement and coordination of architecture, engineering, construction, and other consultant teams. •Oversee project planning and predevelopment activities, including existing conditions assessments, programming, feasibility studies, cost estimating, and budgeting. •Manage the design process from schematic design through construction documentation, including coordination of required regulatory submissions and approvals. •Oversee bidding, construction, and project close-out activities, ensuring continuity and coordination across each project phase. •Manage multiple workstreams and deliverables, ensuring work is completed in accordance with established quality standards, expectations, and deadlines. •Execute a risk-based management approach to project delivery which includes identifying, forecasting, and appropriately mitigatingproject risk. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s or equivalent degree required in Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban planning, or related field •Preferably working towards professional registration (PE, RA, RLA, AICP, CUD, CCM.
