Hiring: Senior Product Manager Company: Microsoft Location: Redmond, WA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 10:42:06 Target Skills & Keywords : Azure, Product Management, Program Management About the job Experience: •5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience •3 years of Product Planning, Product Management or Strategic Planning experience in Data Center, Cloud Infrastructure or Computer Architecture domain •3 years or more experience in server architecture with relevant technologies such as microprocessors, accelerators, memory, storage or networking technologies Required Skills: •Engage with Microsoft cloud business units to define future hardware platform and system requirements and align recommendations for executive approval. •Define and own platform roadmap and strategy that spans concept, POR, qualification, launch, and scale. •Drive cross-org alignment through interlocks with members from various business units including software and hardware engineering and architecture, networking, datacenter infrastructure, finance, and supply chain management to build data-driven strategic frameworks for decision making. •Identify and mitigate platform, schedule, and dependency risks early; drive trade-off decisions with clarity and data. •Define success metrics and track execution against committed milestones Qualifications: •Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience •Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. •Deep understanding or prior experience in datacenter compute, storage or networking architecture •Bachelors or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science •Comprehensive expertise in key technologies/ingredients such as Microprocessors, Memory, Storage, Networking, offload engines and/or accelerators •Prior experience with Data Center HW Infrastructure •Demonstrated capacity to map workload requirements to the right infrastructure solutions •Understanding of how compute‑centric workloads are transforming due to AI (training/inferencing) •Demonstrated capacity to balance between technology, business, and strategy to inform roadmap decisions. •Demonstrated capacity to drive alignment across stakeholders and influence cross-functional leadership to converge on decisions/recommendations that lead to tangible impact and transformation.
