This individual will play an important role in ensuring payroll is processed accurately and timely while also identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes, and reporting. •4+ years of progressive payroll experience, with strong multi-state payroll experience required. Required Skills: •Manage daily payroll operations and ensure payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely. •Process biweekly, multi-state payroll, including overtime, deductions, bonuses, and other compensation. •Calculate and process garnishments while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. •Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate payroll reports. •Process and audit taxable fringe benefits and employer-paid benefits. •Execute time and attendance processing and ensure accurate interfaces with payroll. •Process manual checks and payroll adjustments as needed. •Load and validate payroll import files received from HR. Qualifications: •High school diploma or GED required; degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred but not required. •CPP certification is preferred but not required. •In-depth knowledge of the full payroll cycle and ability to independently explain payroll processes and technical concepts. •Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations. •Strong Excel and overall technical skills. •Solid functional working knowledge of time and attendance systems. •Demonstrated experience with process improvement, automation, or implementing efficiencies. •Technically strong and comfortable digging into complex payroll issues. •Independent and accountable, with the ability to manage priorities without constant oversight. •Innovative and improvement-minded, always looking for ways to make processes more efficient.
