Required Skills: •Pratt & Whitney, Compression Systems Manufacturing Center (CSMC) in Middletown, Connecticut is seeking a Special Process Manufacturing Engineer. CSMC makes complex rotating jet engine parts for military and commercial applications, i.e. F135 Engine, F100 Engine, Geared Turbofan, PW4000, etc. •Identify & implement process optimization & process control methods to eliminate quality turn backs/escapes and reduce overall product costs through the specific process. •Significant interaction with product designers, tool designers, quality assurance, systems designers, and other stakeholders is required to improve first pass yield through manufacturing processes •Perform Root cause analysis and corrective actions on non-conforming products for responsible processes using statistical analysis tools and other methods as necessary •Drive targeted manufacturing process optimization activities using MRL tools such as Process Control Plans and PFMEA •The discipline and follow-through to fully document problem statements, observations, conclusions, calculations and recommendations. •Actively facilitate and support project pipeline process to select, prioritize and scope projects to business objectives, integrated with other continuous improvement activities and CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence) initiatives. •Schedule and facilitate periodic project reviews and ensure validation. Use effective scorecards and metrics to ensure progress.
