Required Skills: •Develop and execute insights-driven, high impact and integrated U.S. communications and public relations strategies in support of assigned therapy area and/or medicine(s), ensuring alignment with business objectives. •Proactively engage media and influencers (traditional and social) around data and regulatory milestones and opportune media moments. •Serve as media relations expert by maintaining relationships with key reporters, developing pitch angles with the goal of delivering thoughtful, positive news coverage. •Support issues preparedness. Anticipate emerging issues and develop mitigation plans, including scenario planning, timely internal stakeholder alignment, message development, training for key internal stakeholders and issues supervising. •Work closely with Legal, Regulatory, Medical and other key internal stakeholders on the review and approval of multiple materials/assets. •Effectively manage agency relationship and budget to ensure delivery of their support through clear objectives, KPIs, continued drive for excellence and innovation. Qualifications: •Solid understanding of clinical data and regulatory milestones. Experience in translating scientific/technical content for a broad range of audiences. •Demonstrated capacity to combine strategic thinking with hands-on-delivery. •Demonstrated capacity to work independently, but knows when to flag potential issues to manager and leadership in a timely manner. •Outstanding writing skills and proven media relations and digital communications skills. •Strong oral and presentation skills; ability to negotiate and persuade. •Significant experience in leading issues preparedness and issues management in a similar environment. •Proven capability to influence and counsel senior leaders and teams across functions and geographical boundaries. •Demonstrated capacity to work on multiple projects simultaneously and deal with rapidly changing priorities. •Excellent interpersonal skills; hardworking team player and self-starter. •Demonstrated capacity to work in a global environment including understanding of cultural differences.
