(NYSE:WELL) Location: New York, NY Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 12:59:23 Target Skills & Keywords : GDPR, HIPAA About the job Experience: •7 years of experience in compliance with a strong understanding of US regulatory requirements within the healthcare real estate sector and demonstrated knowledge of applicable compliance and data privacy regulations. Required Skills: •Improve, implement, and maintain a comprehensive compliance program for the company and partner with key internal stakeholders to lead the compliance function, focusing on corporate compliance and data privacy and protection. •Develop, review, and update compliance policies and procedures to reflect changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices. •Advise internal stakeholders on privacy and compliance considerations for data initiatives and partner cross-functionally to implement and support a privacy compliance framework. •Review and advise on data processing agreements and business associate agreements, as well as privacy provisions in corporate contracts. •Develop and ensure effective delivery of compliance and privacy training to new employees, employees, and business partners, as necessary. •Conduct and manage Privacy Impact Assessments as and when required. •Continuously assess and enhance the effectiveness of compliance programs and processes. •Stay informed about emerging compliance trends, regulatory developments, and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree in business administration, law, finance, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., JD, MBA) preferred. •J.D. is preferred and will be prioritized •Certified Compliance Professional (CCP), Healthcare Compliance Certification (HCCP), or other relevant certifications preferred. •Extensive knowledge of the HIPAA Privacy and Breach Notification Rules. •A minimum of 7 years of experience in compliance with a strong understanding of US regulatory requirements within the healthcare real estate sector and demonstrated knowledge of applicable compliance and data privacy regulations. •Solid functional working knowledge of the UK GDPR and Canadian privacy laws. •Proven ability to work with variety of stakeholders at all levels and effectively interact with cross-functional teams and projects to promote compliance and privacy initiatives. •Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, drug screening, and verification of employment, education, and other credentials relevant to the position.
