Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Research, or another related technical field is required. Knowledge of Power Systems Engineering and Economics is preferred. A Master’s degree is strongly preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. •A minimum of ten years of electrical engineering and/or software development experience is required, including technology leadership or supervisory experience in research, technology analysis, market systems, electric utilities, interconnected public service, or energy markets; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. •Excellent verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal, organizational, teamwork, and management skills. •Demonstrated capacity to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports, legal documents, business periodicals, technical procedures, government regulations, and professional journals. •Demonstrated capacity to respond to inquiries or complaints from market participants, regulatory agencies, members of the business community, vendors, managers, and the public. •Demonstrated capacity to write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, speeches, articles, and materials that conform to prescribed style and format. •Demonstrated capacity to effectively present information to senior management, public groups, boards of directors, vendors, market participants, regulators, and cross-functional internal teams. •Demonstrated capacity to work with probability, statistical inference, advanced calculus, modern algebra, advanced statistical theory, geometry, trigonometry, optimization concepts, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions, and to apply these concepts to practical situations. •Demonstrated capacity to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, interpret complex technical instructions, and apply logical or scientific thinking to abstract and concrete problems. •Advanced competency in Linux operating systems, shell programming including Sed and Awk, scripting languages such as Python, optimization modeling primarily in AMPL or GAMS, and fine-tuning solution tolerances in commercial solvers such as Gurobi or CPLEX.
