Power/energy industry experience required (utilities, IPPs, renewables, or other regulated environments). Required Skills: •IT PMO Leadership and Governance: Establish and lead programs, including intake, prioritization, and stage-gate governance across the technology portfolio. Help, define and implement PMO methodology and standards (hybrid Agile/waterfall as appropriate, given compliance-driven stage-gate requirements). •Team Leadership and Resource Capacity Planning: Manage and develop a team of Program Managers, each owning a program lane: NERC CIP/Cybersecurity, Enterprise Applications (Oracle, Allegro), Data/AI & Integration, and Infrastructure & Cloud. Build portfolio-level resource capacity planning to align program demand with team bandwidth. •Executive Portfolio Reporting: Own executive-level portfolio reporting: status, risk, budget roll-up, and steering committee materials. Select and implement PPM tooling appropriate to portfolio scale and complexity. •Vendor Management: Own IT vendor management practices, including contract oversight, performance tracking, and renewal/negotiation support across the technology portfolio. •Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with Enterprise Excellence to align on portfolio prioritization frameworks and drive delivery of cross-functional process improvement initiatives touching IT systems. •Budget Planning and Tracking: Manage IT budget planning and tracking across programs, including forecasting, variance reporting, and alignment with finance/CTO priorities. •Board and Leadership Presentation Support: Prepare board- and leadership-level presentation materials, translating portfolio status, risk, and strategy into clear executive narrative. Qualifications: •Formal Education: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (business, information technology, engineering, or a related discipline) is preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered. •Work Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in IT program/portfolio management, with demonstrated experience building or scaling a PMO function. Power/energy industry experience required (utilities, IPPs, renewables, or other regulated environments). •Domain expertise: Experience and knowledge of the power/energy industry landscape (utilities, IPPs, renewables, or related regulated environments). Deep experience standing up program governance, stage-gate methodology, and PPM tooling within a technology organization is required.
