Required Skills: •Lead the development, execution, and continuous evolution of the organization's security infrastructure and architecture strategy with a focus on scalable, secure-by-design solutions. •Provide strategic and operational leadership across AWS cloud environments, enterprise infrastructure, applications, and hybrid technology ecosystems. •Oversee the design, implementation, and improvement of security controls, tools, platforms, and processes that protect enterprise systems, applications, users, and data. •Lead, mentor, and develop a team of security engineers and technical professionals while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning. •Partner closely with cloud engineering, enterprise architecture, DevOps, risk, compliance, and business teams to integrate security into architecture, development, and deployment practices. •Evaluate emerging security technologies and recommend solutions that improve visibility, reduce risk, and strengthen security capabilities. •Lead complex security initiatives and cross-functional programs while managing technology roadmaps, vendor relationships, and security platform investments. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 7 years of Information Security experience or 10 years industry experience working in security. •Applied hands-on capability in Security Infrastructure Management. •One or more industry security certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM, or CRISC). •Deep knowledge of security infrastructure, cloud security architecture, and enterprise security engineering principles. •Strong hands-on experience securing AWS environments, including IAM, VPCs, security groups, network segmentation, encryption, logging, monitoring, detection, and cloud-native security services. •Master’s degree in related field. •At WGU, our mission drives everything we do, including how we hire.
