To support this mission, Syngenta’s Product Technology and Engineering Team is seeking a Senior Formulation Engineer in Greensboro, NC. •Support all Safety and Compliance requirements. Must be fully knowledgeable of, and compliant with, all Syngenta safety policies and department standard operating procedures. Drive a strong safety culture of individual accountability. •Deliver the scale-up of formulation processes from the lab to full-scale manufacturing, ensuring process safety, health, and environmental subjects are fully anticipated. •Troubleshoot process issues and provide solutions to manufacturing. •Be responsible for inter-site technology transfer or re-siting of products and serve as a member of the technical start-up team for new processes and equipment at Syngenta manufacturing sites or tollers. •Design pilot plant trials and full-scale manufacturing trials and document key process considerations; write technical reports and operating procedures, train operating teams, provide technical supervision, document outcomes, identify next steps, and share best practices. •Be recognized as having technical experience in formulation engineering processing and serve as a resource for other engineers in North America. Qualifications: •Solid functional working knowledge of formulation processing, scale-up activities, process risk assessment, and product lifecycle management. •Strong project and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and stakeholder requests in a fast-paced environment. •Demonstrated capacity to analyze data, evaluate technical alternatives, and make recommendations that support project and business objectives. •Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts, findings, and recommendations clearly to technical and cross-functional audiences. •Commitment to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards, continuous improvement principles, innovation, and the adoption of sustainable technologies and processes. •Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. •Demonstrated capacity to design and execute technical projects while contributing to and influencing cross-functional teams. •Adaptable and resilient, with a willingness to embrace change and contribute to new ways of working. •Passion for knowledge sharing, mentoring, and supporting the growth and development of team members. •Customer-focused mindset, with the ability to understand stakeholder needs and develop strong working relationships.
