Hiring: Senior Financial Consultant, Company: UnitedHealth Group Location: Eden Prairie, MN Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 10:46:16 Employment Type: Full-time Target Skills & Keywords : Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Microsoft PowerPoint About the job Experience: •5+ years of financial, FPA or related analytical role experience •5+ years of proven experience driving business performance in a high growth environment •5+ years of work experience anticipating accounting, financial reporting, forecasting and operational issues, assessing their implications and developing and implementing an appropriate action plan •2+ years of experience present analytics to Internal/External stakeholders Required Skills: •Own and manage financial reporting for the OptumRx Specialty SGA from month-end close, quarterly forecasting, allocation determination, long range planning and partnership on strategic projects and initiatives •Drive growth and profitability initiatives within the Specialty portfolio by partnering with Business, product and technology leaders to develop insightful analysis, evaluate new and evolving strategies through complex scenario modeling, bringing loose concepts into clarity through a financial focus •Translate complex CBAs and Cost Containment Initiatives concepts into clear, actionable financial models to support decision-making and strategic planning •Collaborating cross functionally to gather inputs, challenge assumptions, and clarify financial narratives for month and forecast packages to Sr Leaders •Deliver concise, insight-driven financial reporting to senior leadership, highlighting key levers and variances to enable strategic decision making •Serve as a trusted finance partner to line of business operators, operations, product, and technology teams-bridging business strategy with financial execution •Primary ownership of detailed models to forecast, measure, and validate performance improvements for client partnerships •Support operations teams in understanding how their actions will impact the measured results and financial outcomes Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, OR a related field •Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint •Healthcare experience and/or experience working in a large matrixed environment •Demonstrated capacity to work full time.
