International travel may be required •You Bring These Skills, Experience & Education •Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Polymer Engineering, or Materials Science from an accredited four-year college or university. Graduate degree preferred. •Minimum of three years’ experience in blown film extrusion, printing (flexo, roto and digital) and lamination (solvent-less and solvent). •Experience in flexible packaging development and trials. •Knowledge of food science and filling equipment are preferred. •Experience in operating blown film equipment. Compensation: •$95,000-$110,000 •This role combines a strong technical vision, engineering skills and flexible packaging experience to develop liquid packaging solutions for SIG. Direct interaction with suppliers, customers and other industry participants will be necessary to understand the environment and execute the projects. The role develops solutions and conducts trials with blown film extrusion, printing, lamination and bag / pouch fabrication techniques, as well as coordinates lab testing. The ideal candidate can think beyond detailed design issues; and manage complex projects.
