Familiarity with SCADA/EMS is highly desirable. •Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required. •Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary. •This position will require at times to work independently with limited supervision •Demonstrated capacity to work in a team environment and be able to establish and maintain effective working relations with peers, teams, users, managers and vendors Required Skills: •Provides engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems of increasing scope and complexity in both inside as well as outside the scope of typical responsibility. •Ensures accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring of work activities; decisions may affect the operations or results of the work group and may have some impact on major projects or department results. •Prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches related to defined problems and analysis of increasing scope and complexity. •High level proficiency in SCADA applications including configuration, database development, control mapping, and troubleshooting.  GE knowledge preferred. •Develops, validates and maintains realistic power system modeling of internal and external systems used by the EMS Network Applications. •Develop, configure, test and commission RTUs and field devices for integration with SCADA system. •Proficiency in DNP3 communication protocol, Point mapping, control configuration, alarm analysis, and messaging analytics.  Familiarity with other communication protocols a plus •Perform SCADA network analysis using tools like Wireshark to troubleshoot communication issues between a SCADA system and field. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in engineering. •Depending on the specific nature of the engineering role, position may require occasional to significant travel by car. A valid driver’s license is required.
