Hiring: Senior Director, Accessibility Engineering Company: Spectrum Location: Greenwood Village, CO Job Posted Time: 2026-09-12 10:32:05 Employment Type: Contract Target Skills & Keywords : Accessibility, Design System, HTML, WCAG About the job Experience: •10+ years in accessibility, assistive technologies or product management within consumer services or product organizations •10+ years of management experience •8+ years related industry experience in cable, telecommunications or software/online services •Requires a competitive instinct and someone with an informed opinion that is deeply rooted in the Accessibility community •Extensive experience managing and training creative and technical teams to deliver high-quality accessibility features in aggressive timeframes Required Skills: •Demonstrated capacity to read, write, speak and understand English •Expert knowledge in accessible technologies •Advanced functional testing knowledge for people with various disabilities •Advanced cognitive, analytical and communication skills •Strong business acumen and urgency to achieve results •Effective presentation skills and ability to communicate with all levels of management •Skilled in PC and presentation tools including Excel and PowerPoint •Demonstrated capacity to develop market forecasts for new products and services Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent experience •Certification through the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (e.g., CPACC, WAS or CPWA), or equivalent •Advanced degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Disability Studies or related field, or equivalent years of relevant professional experience •Lived experience as a person with a disability or as a native user of assistive technology, bringing firsthand insight to accessibility strategy, standards and testing •Proven ability to build and sustain partnerships both inside and outside the organization that produce consistent, reliable results despite competing priorities and constrained timelines •Strong executive-facing communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to translate technical and regulatory detail into business risk and impact for senior leadership •Expert level knowledge of the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guides (WCAG) •Here, our employees don’t just have jobs, they're building careers.
