Hiring: Senior Compliance Engineer - Safety Company: Garmin Location: Cary, NC Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 11:19:34 Employment Type: Full-time Target Skills & Keywords : Phoenix About the job Experience: •5 years relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience Required Skills: •Develop applicable regulatory, certification and market access requirements for Garmin’s products in development based on product architecture, technologies, and targeted markets. •Develop compliance plans that support product development schedules and global market access requirements. •Participate in design reviews and product development activities as the compliance representative. Lead safety design review meetings. •Plan, coordinate and oversee pre-compliance testing to identify safety or other compliance issues prior to formal certification. •Interface directly with 3rd party test labs to execute Garmin’s compliance strategies •Troubleshoot compliance failures and work with design teams to implement corrective actions. •Review test reports, technical documentation, Declarations of Conformity, homologation certificates, and other compliance deliverables for technical accuracy and completeness. •Effectively communicate complex regulatory and technical topics to engineering teams, project leadership, management, and partner labs.
