Hiring: Senior Cloud Engineer Company: Subaru of America Location: Camden, NJ Job Posted Time: 2026-09-03 14:31:41 Employment Type: Full-time / Remote Target Skills & Keywords : AWS, Azure, Azure AD, Bash, Cloud Native, Configuration Management, Datadog, IAM, IaC, Infrastructure as Code, PowerShell, Python, Terraform About the job Experience: •6-8 years of relevant experience required •4-6 years of Azure/AWS administration experience required •8 years of relevant experience required •6 years of Azure/AWS administration experience required Required Skills: •Monitors cloud system performance, availability, compliance, and security using cloud-native or third-party monitoring tools. •Designs and implements cross-account architectures, landing zones, and enterprise governance using frameworks like AWS Organizations and Azure Management Groups. •Works with application teams to design and implement backup, disaster recovery, high availability, and failover strategies across Azure and AWS environments to ensure business continuity and resilience. •Regularly reviews and optimizes cloud resources, configurations, and policies to align with cloud best practices, cost optimization, governance, and security requirements. •Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including developers, network engineers, cybersecurity teams, and IT administrators to support enterprise cloud initiatives and operational excellence. •Provides guidance on migrating on-premises systems to Azure and AWS cloud platforms. •Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) for Azure and AWS-related architecture, operations, troubleshooting, and cloud service inquiries. •Maintains comprehensive documentation for cloud architecture, configurations, operational processes, standards, and procedures. Qualifications: •Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology (IT), or a related field required Or H.S. Diploma and equivalent experience in lieu of degree required •Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing AWS/Azure environments. •Applied hands-on capability in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform. •Operational familiarity with scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash. •Knowledge and experience in cloud native monitoring tools and/or Datadog. •Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-team collaboration. •Capable of working independently as a self-starter who performs initiatives that provide solutions for business requirements. •Demonstrated capacity to perform effective troubleshooting in the Cloud environment. •Demonstrated capacity to respond to complex technical challenges by coordinating resources to devise effective solutions, and to escalate on-going technical issues if needed.
