Hiring: Senior Associate, Global Conferences & Events Company: Ares Management Location: New York, NY Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 14:30:01 Employment Type: On-site Target Skills & Keywords : Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Microsoft PowerPoint, Product Management, Salesforce About the job Experience: •8-10 years of experience in financial services events •10 years of experience in financial services events Required Skills: •Reports to : MD, Head of Global Conferences and Events, Global Client Solutions Group •Lead and oversee lead planning and execution on mid-size events from initial conception to reconciliation; including pre-event organization, budget management, production management, onsite execution, staff management, senior management liaison, final cost analysis •Partner with event lead to own specific pieces of large flagship events •Deliver flawless events; including pre-con meetings, overall management of the event, working directly with the GCS team as well as Investment Leadership, Product Management, and various other stakeholders across the firm. •Demonstrated ability to understand, analyze and articulate key themes, issues, risks and articulate all those elements to GCS Leadership and stakeholders •Demonstrated capacity to carefully consider consequences / outcomes, think before acting / speaking, demonstrate strong awareness, make sound decisions, serve as a trusted partner •Partner with the Global Conferences & Events team to research and plan event schedules that will best meet the needs of target markets within geographic regions; support the design, planning, implementation, marketing and coordination of events, conferences, roadshows, and logistics •Organize and prepare for investor meetings as they relate to existing investors, including creating agendas, scheduling tours, and ensuring that all materials are prepared in a timely manner Qualifications: •A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably with a major in Accounting, Economics, Political Science, Finance, General Business or Management, and outstanding academic achievement. •Proficiency in Cvent, Excel, PowerPoint and Word •Demonstrated capacity to excel in a fast-paced, demanding environment while maintaining the highest quality standards •Approximately 30% of global travel will be required •Demonstrated capacity to successfully manage multiple priorities and competing demands; result oriented •Strong communication skills and team orientation; capability of interacting with key stakeholders to direct prioritization of related activity •High accuracy and detail orientation •Good judgment in terms of escalating issues vs. solving problems independently •A solutions-oriented self-starter with ability to see the big picture •A demonstrated ability to research and leverage available resources to accomplish the task at hand Compensation: •$135,000 - $165,000 / year •Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
