Hiring: Senior Additive Manufacturing Process Engineer Company: RTX Location: East Hartford, CT Job Posted Time: 2026-09-03 11:23:41 Employment Type: Remote Target Skills & Keywords : AutoCAD, CAD, JavaScript, MATLAB, Python, Security Clearance About the job Experience: •1 year of scripting experience with Matlab, Python, VBA, JavaScript or similar •1 year of experience with CAD tools •Minimum 1 year of scripting experience with Matlab, Python, VBA, JavaScript or similar •Minimum 1 year of experience with CAD tools Required Skills: •Support RTX Business Units by providing process expertise and IQ/OQ/MQ tools and best practices to increase the rate of additive adoption •Explore the capabilities of advanced measurement tools for characterizing machine inputs and melt pool / material responses with the goal of quantifying and reducing variability •Lead root cause investigations on build failures, machine or process issues, or product performance gaps and implement corrective actions •Quantify the Process-Structure-Property characteristics of additive materials •Partner cross-functionally with government, industry, academic, and RTX Business Unit partners to develop whitepapers, project concepts, and responsive proposals •Execute and oversee development builds on a wide variety of Additive Manufacturing machines •Interface directly with cross-functional teams including materials, design, simulation, operations, and characterization engineers to support and improve the full value stream •Minimum 1 year of scripting experience with Matlab, Python, VBA, JavaScript or similar Qualifications: •Typically requires a University Engineering Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience •Preferred candidates for this position will have an advanced degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing Engineering or related technical field.
