Hiring: Senior Accountant Company: Virta Health Location: United States Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 13:28:00 Employment Type: Remote Target Skills & Keywords : AWS, HIPAA, Microsoft Excel About the job Experience: •3-4 years of experience preferably with a public accounting/private accounting mix •4 years of experience preferably with a public accounting/private accounting mix Required Skills: •Prepare journal entries, analyses and account reconciliations •Help maintain and improve month-end close processes, including monthly balance sheet reconciliations •Identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI-enabled tools, and process improvements to reduce manual work, improve accuracy, and accelerate the month-end close process. •Respond to information requests and assist with the annual financial statement audit and quarterly financial statement reviews •Analyze financial statements and GL accounts to ensure monthly, quarterly and annual fluctuations are in line with expectations and documented •Prepare operational and ad hoc reporting for additional analysis associated with financial statement areas assigned •Identify areas of financial risk and implement controls to mitigate those risks. •Help to identify, monitor and document internal control procedures.
