Required Skills: •Perform monthly account reconciliations and support timely, accurate financial reporting. •Prepare and file state and local tax filings, including sales and use tax, gross receipts tax, and other indirect taxes across multiple jurisdictions - currently 28 states. •Conduct technical accounting and tax research to ensure compliance with evolving state regulations and government requirements. •Draft, review, and update accounting policies and procedures to align with GAAP and applicable government regulations. •Develop a strong understanding of adjacent finance functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Customer Cost Proposals. •Identify and recommend opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency. •Provide backup support across finance functions during peak periods, absences, or other business needs. •Partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to ensure financial controls and policies are applied consistently.
