Hiring: Senior Accountant Company: The Intersect Group Location: Atlanta Metropolitan Area Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 15:51:02 Employment Type: Hybrid Target Skills & Keywords : HBase, Make, jQuery About the job Experience: •2 to 4 years of progressive accounting experience within a large corporate environment or a blend of public accounting and corporate accounting •4 years of progressive accounting experience within a large corporate environment or a blend of public accounting and corporate accounting Required Skills: •Review and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger activity for business units, plants, and quarries •Collaborate with regional controllers and operational leaders to investigate and explain P&L variances •Perform monthly reconciliations of assigned Balance Sheet and P&L accounts with clear audit documentation •Support external reporting requirements through review of select accounts, ledgers, and financial statements •Assist with year‑end closing procedures and prepare annual audit schedules •Partner with Accounting Managers on acquisition integration including technical accounting memos, reconciliations, and journal entries •Design and generate financial queries and reports using Power BI, Showcase Query, and advanced Excel •Review staff accountant reconciliations and journal entries and provide mentorship as needed •Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting workflows and reporting efficiency •Execute monthly journal entries, prepare ad‑hoc analyses, and support special projects as assigned •KEY REQUIREMENTS •Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance •2 to 4 years of progressive accounting experience within a large corporate environment or a blend of public accounting and corporate accounting •Strong understandin Compensation: •$100k-$120k + Bonus •Presented by: •The Intersect Group •COMPANY OVERVIEW •The Intersect Group is partnering with a leading building materials manufacturer that has grown into a major provider of construction, repair, rehabilitation, and industrial products across North America.
