Required Skills: •Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols (interior and exterior). •Control access/egress at campus and building entry points. •Monitor CCTV, fire/life safety, and intrusion alarm systems. •Deter and report criminal activity, policy violations, or safety risks. •Safeguard persons and property against fire, theft, vandalism, or other threats. •Conduct advance site assessments and route planning to identify and mitigate potential risks. •Provide close personal protection and maintain constant vigilance during all movements. •Coordinate with local law enforcement, event security, and transportation teams. Qualifications: •Associate’s degree required. •Must maintain a valid, clean NYS driver’s license. •Must be currently certified, or eligible and willing to obtain a minimum of 180 hours of training •Resident of the City of New York •If discharged from the military service, it shall not have been dishonorably; may be asked to provide a copy of DD214. •Strong judgment, physical fitness, and situational awareness. •Demonstrated capacity to travel and work irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays. •Prior experience in campus or educational security. •Operational familiarity with compliance standards (Clery, Title IX, ADA). •Prior experience supervising unionized security staff.
