Required Skills: •Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Security Safety Professional to work on our Environment, Safety, Health & Quality (ESHQ) team. Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our Central Facilities Area with every Friday off. •Essential Job Functions And Responsibilities •Provide technical support and develop effective solutions for identifying and controlling hazards within assigned organizations in support of organizational missions and goals. •Develop and implement health and safety programs consistent with regulatory requirements and company standards. •Conduct workplace health and safety assessments and recommend appropriate improvements. •Provide safety support and peer review across Laboratory teams/projects and, as applicable, to organizations outside the Laboratory, using knowledge of safety principles, materials, processes, and applicable regulatory requirements. •Conduct accident and injury investigations and provide guidance on hazard mitigation using the Integrated Safety Management System. •Provide technical support to work organizations in interpreting and implementing assigned programs and requirements. Qualifications: •Demonstrated capacity to gain and maintain Security Police Officer III Instructor Certification from the National Training Center. •Demonstrated capacity to gain and maintain Human Performance Improvement Practitioner Level Certification. •This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship. •The Ideal Candidate Will Possess •Demonstrated ability to obtain and maintain the applicable INL Security Safety Professional Qualification. •Strong working knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, DOE, ANSI, and other relevant standards, orders, and regulations applicable to the assignment. •National Training Center (NTC) certifications supporting advanced safety, security, or operational readiness functions. •Formal explosives training and the ability to apply explosive safety principles to INL programs and operational activities. •Demonstrated Leadership and influence in training team members in firearms, explosives, and ESS training activities.
