Location: Pickens, SC Job Posted Time: 2026-09-15 11:33:41 Employment Type: Full-time Target Skills & Keywords : Rust About the job Required Skills: •Bridge Brothers is seeking a Sandblaster / Abrasive Blaster to prepare structural steel bridge components for protective coatings. •This role is responsible for cleaning and preparing steel surfaces through abrasive blasting to ensure coatings properly adhere and meet quality specifications. •Perform abrasive blasting on structural steel using approved blasting equipment •Prepare steel surfaces for painting and protective coatings •Remove rust, mill scale, old coatings, weld spatter, and surface contaminants •Inspect blasted surfaces for proper cleanliness and surface profile •Operate and maintain blasting equipment •Move materials throughout the shop using overhead cranes or forklifts when needed Qualifications: •Demonstrated capacity to perform physically demanding work and lift up to 50 pounds •Strong work ethic and attention to detail •Demonstrated capacity to work safely in a team-oriented manufacturing environment •Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus •Knowledge of SSPC surface preparation standards is a plus Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
