Hiring: Safety Specialist Company: Koch Location: Altoona, KS Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 11:38:14 Employment Type: On-site Target Skills & Keywords : Root Cause Analysis About the job Experience: •2 years of experience on a project in a construction safety role as a titled safety professional Required Skills: •Assist PSM with facilitating Safety & Health training for employees, contractors, etc., as required and needed. •Actively facilitate and support planning and implementation of safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT). •Be knowledgeable and current on all internal Koch/DEPCOM EHS Standards and relevant state and federal environmental law. •Aid incident investigations, root cause analysis, and determining corrective actions to prevent incident recurrence and makes recommendations for correcting unsafe conditions and actions. •Foster an EHS environment of collaboration and active participation with all employees. •Conduct walk-through inspections of field job sites to identify and eliminate hazardous conditions and unsafe acts performed by employees. •Assist with managing site risks including facilitating risk assessments, job safety analyses, JHA reviews and PPE assessments. •Provide appropriate care and support for onsite injuries within standard of care.
