Required Skills: •Supports the development and administration of departmental policies and procedures (P&Ps). •Ensures safety P&Ps are being followed and that safety/environmental action items are complete. •Conducts safety/environmental inspections and audits. •Completes and forwards appropriate requisitions, reports, or recommendations to the Safety Manager. •Conducts and reviews incident investigations. •Handle and maintain confidential information. •Conducts safety meetings & safety/environmental training to increase proficiency in safe work practices and promote safety awareness while staying compliant with all applicable regulations. •Consults with and serves as liaison between property management, contractors, and employees to resolve related issues that arise in daily operations. Qualifications: •Associate’s degree in related field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. •1 – 2 years of related customer service experience in a similar position. •Able to obtain Gaming registration as required by jurisdiction. •Solid functional working knowledge of fire and safety-related codes, State, County, and Federal laws and regulations including knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and NFPA regulations. •Demonstrated capacity to multitask several activities and duties in a fast-paced working environment. •Demonstrated capacity to effectively communicate in English, in both oral and written forms. •Demonstrated capacity to facilitate and present safety training classes. •Demonstrated capacity to communicate safety concepts and procedures to various audiences using verbal, written, and multi-media techniques. •Must possess the ability to interact positively with employees and management to create a safety partnership and safe working environment. •This is not intended to include every duty or responsibility of the job nor is it intended to be an all-inclusive list of the skills and abilities required to do this job.
