Hiring: Robotics Technician Company: Lumicity Location: El Segundo, CA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-15 12:14:16 Employment Type: Contract Target Skills & Keywords : Assembly, R About the job Required Skills: •Build and integrate mechanical and electrical components according to engineering drawings, schematics, work instructions, and other technical documentation. •Assemble cable assemblies, wiring harnesses, connectors, and low-voltage electrical systems. •Perform electrical and mechanical checks using equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, torque tools, and dimensional measurement equipment. •Assist with system bring-up, commissioning, calibration, continuity checks, signal verification, and functional testing. •Investigate hardware issues through inspection, electrical measurements, test results, and root-cause troubleshooting. •Perform approved repairs, component changes, modifications, and other corrective work. •Document build information, test results, inspections, configuration details, serial numbers, and engineering feedback. •Work alongside engineering and manufacturing teams to improve assembly, integration, testing, and production processes. Qualifications: •Professional experience assembling, repairing, testing, or troubleshooting complex electromechanical equipment. •Demonstrated capacity to read and work from mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, assembly instructions, and parts documentation. •Applied hands-on capability in mechanical assembly, connectors, cable termination, soldering, fastening, and basic electrical troubleshooting. •Comfortable using tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, multimeters, oscilloscopes, torque tools, and bench power supplies. •Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document technical work. •Operational familiarity with components such as motors, actuators, sensors, gearboxes, PCBs, wiring harnesses, batteries, pneumatic systems, or precision mechanisms. •Comfortable working in an R&D, prototype, or new-product-introduction environment where designs and processes may change frequently.
