Required Skills: •Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care. This role requires utilizing the nursing process in accordance with hospital standards and unit policies/procedures to monitor and evaluate patient functional status. •Utilize the nursing process to care for patients. •Assess, organize, and complete patient care with consideration for patient age, cultural, and psychosocial factors. •Document steps of the nursing process using proper medical terminology. •Address problems and progress toward goals. •Facilitate patient discharge through timely, appropriate referrals and utilization of patient education resources, suitable to patient age and cultural/psychosocial factors. •Partner cross-functionally with other disciplines as appropriate. •Support unit/hospital goals through PI and educational activities by attending in-services, meeting unit education standards, and completing variance reports.
