Qualifications: •Must be eligible to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. Active Secret clearance is highly desirable. •Strong working knowledge of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) tactical mesh networks and radios. Familiarity with systems from vendors such as Silvus, TrellisWare, Persistent Systems, Qualcomm, and/or Anduril. •Understanding of RF fundamentals, antenna theory, link margins, signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), and spectrum management. Experience utilizing RF and network measurement hardware (e.g., spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, channel emulators, erc.). •Proficiency in evaluating data plane and network plane performance metrics (Throughput UDP/TCP, Jitter, Latency, Packet Loss, Route Convergence). Familiarity with network transport protocols and optimization. •Demonstrated capacity to draft structured test methodologies, define measurable GO/NO GO parameters, and execute complex laboratory and field-based risk reduction events. •Proven capability to ingest anomaly data, replicate failures in a lab environment, isolate root causes (firmware, hardware bottlenecks, protocol instabilities), and engineer validated solutions. •Strong writing skills for drafting formal test plans, emerging results briefs, detailed test reports, and trouble incident reports. •Excellent communication skills to interact directly with internal product managers, military units, and external radio vendors. •Demonstrated capacity to travel to various Army field test sites and ranges (e.g., Fort Bragg, Fort Belvoir, JBLM) for operational rehearsals and user assessments. Often for one week at a time.
