Required Skills: •Learn more about why you should join our team at dor.sc.gov/careers . •Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of independently prioritizing tasks •Critical thinkers who enjoy solving problems •Ready to thrive in a fast-paced environment •Innovative with an eye for process improvement ideas •Comfortable using modernized computer systems to manage a case load and take collection actions •As a Revenue Officer, you will collect debts due the state and enforce tax laws in a professional manner. •Collecting/resolving debt and enforcing tax laws in routine cases through research and taxpayer contact/follow-up, with a focus on the security of taxpayer data Qualifications: •A bachelor's degree in a related field OR An associate's degree in a business-related field and relevant work experience OR Relevant experience or education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis with an approved equivalence by the Division of State Human Resources (DSHR) •Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required for field work. (Mileage reimbursement provided) •Academic degrees must be from an accredited institution of higher learning. College transcript required for consideration, where appropriate.
