Hiring: Resident Construction Engineer Company: Mead & Hunt Location: Columbia, South Carolina Metropolitan Area Job Posted Time: 2026-09-15 15:00:17 Employment Type: Full-time Target Skills & Keywords : Project Management, Stakeholder Management About the job Required Skills: •Strong knowledge of roadway, bridge, interchange, interstate widening, or related transportation construction projects. •Demonstrated capacity to work from South Carolina project locations as needed. •South Carolina PE, or ability to obtain South Carolina licensure through comity. •Prior experience as a CEI Project Manager, Resident Construction Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, Construction Manager, or similar project leader. •Design-build transportation experience. •Structural bridge inspection background, with roadway experience as a plus. •Operational familiarity with SCDOT standards, specifications, QA/QC procedures, materials testing, project documentation, and closeout expectations. •Operational familiarity with materials testing processes, including the ability to oversee subcontractors and lead project materials discussions. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field from an accredited four-year college or university plus at least eight years of relevant experience, or equivalent. •Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for project and pursuit needs.
