Required Skills: •Develop and implement comprehensive security policies and procedures to protect sensitive research data and facilities from unauthorized access and threats. •Stay current with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to research security to ensure compliance and best practices. •Partner cross-functionally with Information Technology and research teams to integrate security protocols into research processes and technologies. •Perform other job-related duties as assigned. •Conduct regular security assessments and audits to evaluate the effectiveness of existing security measures and identify areas for improvement. •Monitor security incidents and breaches, conduct thorough investigations and coordinating response efforts to mitigate risks. •Provide training and awareness programs for employees on security best practices and the importance of safeguarding research information. Qualifications: •Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. •Special Access Programs Management •Master's Degree in related discipline or equivalent •4-6 years in demonstrated security management experience in SAP and SCI programs. •DoD - approved certifications, including Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC), Special Program Security Certification (SPSC), CISSP, or equivalent. •Compliance and Inspection experience, including leading annual security audits for SAPF's and SCIF's. •Prior leadership in large-scale multi-program environments requiring complex oversight and direct government interaction. University experience preferred.
