Manages several large industry sponsored clinical trials. •Prepares new clinical trial research protocols for IRB submission, in compliance with all applicable regulations and policies of FDA, DHHS, ICH, state of Georgia, AU, and Wellstar MCG Health. Coordinates activities with respective campus departments to ensure successful study execution. •Performs regulatory activities associated with the ongoing management of current clinical research protocols, including, but not limited to, protocol amendments, financial disclosure, protocol deviations, and adverse events. •Creates and maintains training schedule for Cancer Center research faculty and staff related to research compliance best practices. Assists with finding and distributing continuing education requirement opportunities. Performs quality control regulatory inspections of cancer center clinical trials to ensure regulatory compliance. Qualifications: •Ph.D. from an accredited college or university with a minimum of one year of experience in research, basic science or clinical laboratory particularly clinical trial research. •Demonstrated capacity to maintain confidentiality •Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills •Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases •Detail-oriented with strong leadership, organizational, prioritization and multi-tasking skills •Shift: Days/M-F (work outside of normal business hours will likely be required of an employee in an exempt level position) •Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position. •Augusta University offers a variety of benefits to full-time benefits-eligible employees and some of our half-time (or more) employees.
