Required Skills: •Perform characterization of devices using a wide range of metrology techniques including atomic force microscopy (AFM), photoinduced force microscopy (PiFM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and nanoelectronic measurements. •Work closely with outside vendors, collaborators, and fabrication partners to coordinate the characterization of devices using techniques such as time-of-flight mass spectroscopy (TOF-SIM/nano-SIMs), x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). •Prepare reports on pristine (as received) nanoelectronic devices using the techniques listed above as part of our standard quality control processes. •Prepare experimental summaries characterizing devices after various experiments to provide feedback as part of our test and learning cycles. •Understand the requirements of our nanoelectronic devices and propose characterization techniques to ensure devices meet these specifications. •Maintain detailed and meticulous records of all experimental work and analysis. •Effectively communicate experimental results, data analysis, and next steps with our chip fabrication, device measurements, surface chemistry teams, and the wider company. Qualifications: •Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Physics, Materials Science, Nanotechnology or a closely related field with >0-3 years of relevant industry experience. •Some experience using advanced metrology techniques such as AFM, SEM, TEM, XPS, FTIR, or TOF-SIMs. •Understanding of electron transport physics and electrochemistry, ideally at nanoelectrodes. •Strong data analysis and scripting experience is desirable. •Must be a creative and detail-oriented person with excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills. •Exceptional collaboration skills and ability to work seamlessly in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
