Hiring: Research and Development Test Engineer Company: BettaBot Location: Santa Fe Springs, CA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-11 14:53:27 Employment Type: On-site Target Skills & Keywords : AutoCAD, C, C++, CAD, Embedded Systems, Firmware, LabVIEW, PCB, Python, R About the job Required Skills: •Provide hands-on test engineering support for multidisciplinary hardware systems, including electrical, mechanical, embedded, and software-integrated products. •Partner cross-functionally with Technical Services, R&D Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering teams to investigate and resolve product and technical issues. •Troubleshoot product returns and field issues; identify and reproduce intermittent, edge-case, and difficult-to-reproduce failures in controlled laboratory environments; and analyze test results to support hardware, firmware, and software improvements. •Design and conduct engineering tests to evaluate product functionality, performance, reliability, and failure modes under controlled and real-world operating conditions. •Operate laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, data acquisition systems, and other test instruments to perform functional, performance, and diagnostic testing. •Develop and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, test procedures, and technical specifications for custom hardware assemblies, test fixtures, and test rigs. •Develop and implement test systems to support test automation, instrumentation, and data acquisition. •Collect, analyze, and document test data clearly and accurately; identify trends and recurring failure patterns; and provide actionable findings to support product improvements and engineering decisions. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
