Required Skills: •At the system level, the reliability team will develop system level reliability models and related reliability assessments and risk analyses for spacecraft optimization. The candidate will be expected to be familiar with system reliability engineering tools, such as reliability block diagram, Markov model, statistical modeling and data analytics. •Assist with building a center of excellence for reliability analysis and test for Kuiper hardware design. •Develop system level reliability model and establish reliability allocations across vehicle subsystems to meet reliability targets. •Review, guide, support subsystem teams FMECAs, predictive modelling techniques, and test plans. •Establish test capabilities, and failure analysis as needed. Qualifications: •Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. •Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. •Knowledge of reliability engineering principles, methods, and tools. •Proficiency in failure analysis techniques and materials characterization methods. •Operational familiarity with electronics (PCBs, PCBAs, electronic components) and moving mechanical assemblies. •Master's or Doctorate degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. •Basic knowledge of PCB fabrication, SMT, and polymerics application manufacturing processes. •Operational familiarity with relevant industry standards, including IPC, JEDEC, AIAA, AEC, MIL, and SMC standards.
