Required Skills: •The ideal candidate is to be based out of our Faribault, Albert Lea or Sleepy Eye locations in Minnesota. •Provide close coaching and support to Plant Managers and staff on achieving a zero injury work environment. •Analyzes and evaluates current EH&S programs, policies, and practices to ensure they meet all current and proposed local, state, and national regulatory requirements, as well as Company EHS Standards and Programs. •Implements, and maintains EH&S programs and policies to minimize and eliminate safety risks and occupational hazards associated with work practices. •Establishes EH&S monitoring programs to ensure all activities meet established requirements. •Establishes methods for maintaining site records for occupational and environmental health and safety including documentation on training and certifications. •Manage key performance indicators (most importantly, leading indicators) to track the progress of EHS on a week-by week and month-by-month basis. •Manage, coordinate and implement the Company Critical To Life standards within the Region. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an EH&S related Science or Engineering field. Professional certification as a CSP, CIH or PE is required for this role. •Willingness to travel up to 50% in North America. •Demonstrated people management and team building skills and the ability to manage multiple projects/programs simultaneously. •Positive and motivated self-starter with successful track record in changing environment; excellent organizational, teamwork and prioritization skills are essential. •Demonstrated capacity to communicate with clarity, impact and passion to help drive a growing EH&S program, and to collaborate across all levels of the organization to enable and drive change. •Excellent written, verbal, listening and presentation skills. •The expected salary range for this role is $155,000 - $165,000 •Balchem is committed to a workplace culture that values and promotes diversity, inclusion, equal employment opportunities, and a work environment free of harassment and hostility.
