Required Skills: •Expand coverage to additional case types (e.g., unpaid leaves that transition into job search), launch proactive outreach linked to disability-related leaves of absence, support global expansion of GM’s accommodations model, and help build training and resources that strengthen employee understanding and participation in the process. •Manage an assigned portfolio of accommodation cases end-to-end for U.S. salaried employees, ensuring each case follows a timely, individualized, and policy-aligned interactive process. •Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for employees, managers, and HRBPs on assigned cases, providing clear, empathetic explanations of process steps, timelines, and documentation needs. •Ensure all required forms and documentation (e.g., employee request forms, medical assessment forms, acknowledgement letters) are issued, returned, reviewed, and actioned within required timeframes; track deadlines and follow up proactively. •Document case notes, decisions, and rationale in the designated case management system (e.g., ServiceNow) in a clear, accurate, and audit-ready manner. •Partner closely with the Accommodations SME, HR, Legal, Facilities, and other stakeholders to gather information, clarify options, and prepare recommendations for final accommodation determinations. •Document and maintain U.S. accommodations best practices, including policy-aligned templates, process flows, and standard check-in touchpoints. •Prepare reference guides and materials that explain how GM manages ADA-type cases in the U.S., supporting regional HR/Legal teams as they adapt the model to local laws and practices. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. •Foundational knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), FMLA, and related state/local disability and leave frameworks, with demonstrated ability to apply policy or legal guidance in practical, case-specific situations. •Proven experience managing a high-volume caseload or workflow that requires strong organization, attention to detail, and disciplined follow-through on deadlines and documentation. •Strong employee-facing communication skills, with the ability to explain complex processes in accessible language and maintain a balanced, empathetic, and neutral tone in sensitive situations. •Demonstrated ability to work with confidential and sensitive information with high integrity, sound judgment, and discretion. •Proficiency with HRIS/case management tools (e.g., Workday, ServiceNow) and strong skills in Excel and other MS Office tools for tracking, reporting, and analysis. •High level of collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively across HR, Legal, Medical, Facilities, and business leaders. •What Will Give You a Competitive Edge •Direct experience coordinating ADA accommodations, return-to-work, or job search/placement processes in a union or highly regulated environment. •Operational familiarity with GM HR processes, policies, and systems (e.g., AskGM/ServiceNow, Workday, LOA and disability programs) and experience partnering with Global HR Policy, Employee Relations, or Legal stakeholders.
