Hiring: Raw Material Unloader Company: GAF Location: Newton, KS Job Posted Time: 2026-09-15 14:53:56 Target Skills & Keywords : Root Cause Analysis, SAP About the job Experience: •2+ years in a safety sensitive position within an industrial, distribution or manufacturing environment •2+ years of Forklift experience within an industrial, distribution or manufacturing environment Required Skills: •Champion a safe and clean work environment, embedding safety as the highest priority within our culture. •Participate in safety, continuous improvement, and 5S initiatives. •Maintain compliance with safety policies and procedures, conduct inspections of plant areas and/or equipment, and ensure deficiencies found are resolved or appropriately communicated. •Safely operate industrial equipment to efficiently move raw materials, and/or finished goods to appropriate plant location •Safely unload raw materials and load finished goods from/to commercial trucks and/or rail cars •Independently execute the loading and/or unloading of raw materials and finished goods from commercial trucks and railcars. Ensure optimal weight distribution and load security without direct supervision. •Demonstrate mastery of all industrial material handling equipment to move materials between storage, production lines, and shipping docks with high precision •Perform advanced verification of inbound and outbound manifests, including Bills of Lading (BOL) and packing slips. Identify and resolve discrepancies in SKU, lot numbers, or quantities before they impact production. Qualifications: •A demonstrated commitment to safety •Entry-level proficiency in G suite •Knowledge of OSHA and FRA regulations, specifically LTV (Lock, Tag, Verify), wheel chock use, Rail flag identification, industrial equipment safety, HazMat transportation regulations. •Knowledge of inventory control including, but not limited too, cycle counts, FIFO standards, and inbound/outbound paperwork •Knowledge of equipment weight shift points when transitioning from ramps/docks to trailers •Knowledge of forklift and other industrial equipment weight limits for safe transportation of product and/or materials. •Entry-level skills in warehouse management platforms like SAP to track materials and costs •Entry-level knowledge of safely loading trucks via loading ramps, use of spotters, and management of weight shift points when the equipment transitions from the ramp to the trailer deck •Demonstrated capacity to perform root cause analysis for safety and loading incidents Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
