Hiring: Quality Leader - Plant 10 Company: Howmet Aerospace Location: Whitehall, MI Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 10:34:05 About the job Experience: •5 years of quality related experience •1 year of leadership experience Required Skills: •This position is responsible for the overall quality of the product produced and shipped to the customer including work instruction accuracy, customer satisfaction and overall employee knowledge of quality issues. •Further, this position ensures Howmet manufacturing and support systems comply with the standards prescribed in AS9100 and standards established by customers and corporate. •Business minded--understands processes and identifies high risk areas; prioritizes based on company interests; pushes enterprise to anticipate versus respond •Detail oriented--attends to certifications; date and process aware; tracks multiple projects simultaneously •Relationship and communication--interacts with technicians to understand, coach and instruct •Understands and negotiates customer requirements and concessions; navigates multiple environments to ensure team has what it needs to succeed; personable •Organization and structure--directs and redirects resources; coordinates workloads, projects and timelines; adapts to high pace of environment while maintaining systems and procedures •Objective--makes decisions based on established criteria; explains why; contributes to solutions and creating pathways to success; gatekeeper to customer satisfaction; ensures consistency of output Qualifications: •Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Institution •Minimum of 5 years of quality related experience •Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience •Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
