Hiring: Quality Inspector (Starfall) Company: SpaceX Location: Bloomfield, CT Job Posted Time: 2026-09-13 14:58:27 Employment Type: Remote Target Skills & Keywords : Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Microsoft PowerPoint, Quality Assurance About the job Experience: •Demonstrated capacity to read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and specifications •Knowledge of quality assurance principles, methods, and processes •Operational familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) •Strong communication skills (written and oral) •Proficiency in other languages (Spanish, Portuguese, Vietnamese) Required Skills: •Perform in-process inspections of sewing, stitching, cut parts, and marks using calibrated tools, work orders, and drawings to verify conformance •Perform secondary verification of critical work-order operations •Perform final inspection of completed soft goods as required; approve or reject hardware and document non-conformances •Perform inspection photography of hardware and non-conformances as required •Author issue tickets; label nonconforming hardware; track location; assign owners; and follow progress to close •Actively facilitate and support Material Review Board (MRB) process by documenting and managing non-conformances •Manage calibrated tools: maintain tracking and due dates, remove out-of-tolerance (OOT) equipment from use, disposition OOT with engineering, and ship tools for calibration on time •Communicate quality issues with production and engineering and assist with disposition and corrective action Qualifications: •High school diploma or equivalency certificate •2+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace, military, or manufacturing environment •Must be able to work long hours (10+) and weekends/holidays as necessary •Must be willing to work all shifts and overtime as needed •Must be able to stand for extended periods - 8 hours minimum •Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. unassisted •Must be able to travel to remote sites if required •Demonstrated capacity to pass Space Force and Air Force background checks to support travel to Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg •To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. •1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C.
