Hiring: Quality Inspector — Machined Components & GD&T Company: NOV Location: Houston, TX Job Posted Time: 2026-09-03 14:43:59 Employment Type: Full-time Target Skills & Keywords : Assembly, AutoCAD, CAD, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint About the job Required Skills: •Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models, rigorously applying GD&T principles to determine part compliance. •Perform source inspections at facilities •Perform First Article Inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final product evaluations. •Document defects and non-conformances accurately in the ERP/QMS system •Prepare inspection reports and maintain files of inspection documents •Understand basic weld inspection techniques, weld symbols and common welding defects. •Review inspection records received for compliance •Maintain inspection and measuring equipment Qualifications: •High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience •Minimum of 3- years Assembly/Mechanical/Receiving inspection experience •Must be able to read and write in English •Knowledge in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, material specification and requirements. •Exposed to loud noise while in the warehouse •Exposed to moving parts while on the shop floor •Exposed to occasional hot and /or cold weather depending on outside climate conditions and warehouse temperature since the shop floor is neither air conditional nor heated. •Work in warehouse/shop floor environment setting 75% or the day, 25% of the day is spent at a computer in an office. •Adheres to facilities safety policies and attends all monthly safety training. •Wears proper PPE while in the warehouse Compensation: •401(k) Retirement Plan – NOV matches every dollar up to 5% of base pay and overtime for every dollar you invest Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
