Hiring: Quality Inspector Company: NOV Location: Houston, TX Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 14:43:59 Target Skills & Keywords : AWS, AutoCAD, CAD, Microsoft Office About the job Experience: •4 to 6 years of CMM, Romer Arm, Faro Arm, MetraSCAN 3D™ optical CMM scanner, and any automatic inspection equipment experience in programming and inspection •4 to 6 years of dimensional inspection and metrology experience in manufacturing, oil & gas, aerospace, defense, or related industries •6 years of CMM, Romer Arm, Faro Arm, MetraSCAN 3D™ optical CMM scanner, and any automatic inspection equipment experience in programming and inspection •6 years of dimensional inspection and metrology experience in manufacturing, oil & gas, aerospace, defense, or related industries Required Skills: •Perform all duties of visual, dimensional, documentation, welding, and NDE. •Program, validate and optimize CMM inspection programs. •Perform advanced dimensional inspections using Hexagon CMM, FARO Arm, Romer Arm, Portable CMM, laser scanners and optical systems. •Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models and GD&T. •Conduct receiving, in-process, final, source and customer witness inspections. •Support Engineering with dimensional analysis and product disposition. •Lead measurement system troubleshooting and metrology investigations. •Support NCRs and root cause investigations. Qualifications: •High School Diploma or equivalent required. •Technical Degree, Trade School Certification, or equivalent experience •Qualification in Hexagon CMM/FARO/Romer/Portable CMM/Laser Scanner •Knowledge in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, material specifications and GD&T requirements. •NDE Certifications or experience in: Certified Welding Inspection (CWI), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Radiography Testing (RT) Film Interpretation and or Visual Testing (VT) •Preferred ASQ CMI (Certified Mechanical Inspector) or equivalent certificates. •Demonstrated capacity to pass dimensional inspection training and testing. •Possess knowledge of precision measuring equipment. •Knowledge of ABS and DNV requirements for drilling equipment is a plus.
