Hiring: Python Software Engineer, Trading Platform Company: DRW Location: New York, NY Job Posted Time: 2026-09-11 11:41:26 Target Skills & Keywords : C, C++, Equities, Fixed Income, Jenkins, Linux, Python, Rust About the job Experience: •5+ years of experience building demanding, live systems in Python Required Skills: •Manage the day-to-day technology requirements of our proprietary trading systems •Accelerate trading and research analysis workflows by utilizing and expanding on DRW’s in-house infrastructure and improve productivity •Evaluate new technologies and identify/deprecate legacy code to improve on the current technological stack •Partner cross-functionally with other engineers, traders, and researchers to design custom frameworks or end-user solutions •Write performance sensitive code and user-friendly APIs to facilitate access to our in-house data analysis infrastructure •Lead design discussions and conduct code reviews to maintain high standards and quality of written code Qualifications: •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related Engineering discipline •In-depth knowledge of Python and keeps up with current standards (3.11 onwards) •Up-to-date knowledge of the Python ecosystem: third party libraries, packaging in-built Python libraries •Knowledge of a systems language such as C, C++, Rust, etc. •Solid understanding of data structures •Strong verbal and written communication skills •Must care about the user-experience/UX component •Knowledge of CI software, such as TeamCity or Jenkins •Demonstrated capacity to mentor others and lead small projects •Operational familiarity with the scientific python stack Compensation: •$150,000 - $180,000 / year •We have also leveraged our expertise and technology to expand into three non-traditional strategies: real estate, venture capital and cryptoassets Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
