Hiring: Purchasing Buyer Company: Hoffman Construction Company Location: Portland, Oregon Metropolitan Area Job Posted Time: 2026-09-12 14:26:24 Target Skills & Keywords : Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Workday About the job Required Skills: •This position will be fully in-office at the Portland Main Office. •Draft and issue request for proposal packages for construction project procurement. •Participate in pre-bid and post-bid meetings. •Manage the bid package process, including advertise, issue addenda, and manage the bid package processes. •Receive and compare bids for bid packages, including cost and scope negotiation. •Draft and issue subcontracts, purchase agreements, and purchase orders. •Attend and support local outreach efforts in the subcontracting community. •Provide internal support to project teams and operations as needed. Qualifications: •High School Diploma or GED required. •Bachelor's degree in a construction related profession, business administration, or equivalent degree and/or equivalent work experience required. •At least two (2) years of purchasing experience preferred, including an understanding of the Washington GC/CM Bidding requirements. •Standing/Walking/Sitting: workday is combination of standing, walking and sitting. •Must be able to climb stairs: 5% of day. •Hands/Arms: constant use of hands/fingers for mouse/keyboard/computer use. •Sight: visual acuity in near, mid, and far range vision. Color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, hand/eye coordination. •Hearing: sufficient to hear conversational levels in person and over the telephone. •Speech: sufficient to make oneself heard in person, speak in front of groups, and be understood over the telephone. •Lift/Carry: Up to 20lbs. Computer/drawings - minimal.
